limequiz, from your AI assistant.
limequiz has an MCP server. Connect Claude Code, Cursor or any MCP client, and your assistant can build a quiz from a topic or your notes, fix it, open a live room and give you the code to share, then read the results once the session is over.
MCP server
https://limequiz.com/api/mcpStreamable HTTP, with a personal token in every request.
Get a token
- Sign in and open Account → API tokens and MCP.
- Give the token a name, like “Claude on my laptop”, and create it.
- Copy it now. You won't see it again.
Revoke a token on the same page and anything using it stops working right away.
Every plan includes it, the free one too, within its limits.
Connect
Quicker: create the token in your account and buttons there add limequiz to Cursor or VS Code in one click, token included.
Claude Code
Run this in a terminal.
claude mcp add --transport http limequiz https://limequiz.com/api/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer lq_YOUR_TOKEN"Cursor
Add this to .cursor/mcp.json in your project, or to ~/.cursor/mcp.json for every project.

"mcpServers": {
"limequiz": {
"url": "https://limequiz.com/api/mcp",
"headers": {
"Authorization": "Bearer lq_YOUR_TOKEN"
}
}
}
}Replace lq_YOUR_TOKEN with your token.
Any other MCP client
Point a Streamable HTTP client at the server and send the token in a header.
- URL
- https://limequiz.com/api/mcp
- Transport
- Streamable HTTP
- Header
- Authorization: Bearer lq_YOUR_TOKEN
The Claude app (web, desktop and mobile) and ChatGPT connect without a token: add the server address as a custom connector, limequiz asks for your permission and sends you back to the assistant.
No limequiz account yet? Connect your assistant without a token to https://limequiz.com/api/mcp/start: it signs you up with your email, you press Allow in the email, and it carries on.
Tools
Your assistant picks them by itself. Every quiz it makes comes with a link where you check the questions and open the room.
list_quizzesRead only- Lists your quizzes, newest first; at a school, also the ones colleagues share with it.
get_quizRead only- Returns a quiz block by block, with its questions, the answers, which one is correct, and your notes; says whether it's yours and whether it's shared with the school.
create_quiz- Creates a quiz from the blocks your assistant writes (a round with its podium, a poll, a rating, a word cloud, sticky notes, short answers, a break), or from a plain list of questions, and returns the link to check it and open the room.
add_questions- Adds questions to a block, at the end or at the position you say.
update_question- Rewrites one question: its text, answers, type, timer or label.
remove_question- Removes one question.
reorder_questions- Sets the order the questions run in.
add_block- Adds a block to the plan, with its questions: a round of scored questions with its own podium, a poll, a rating, a word cloud, sticky notes, short answers, a break.
update_block- Renames a block, switches a round's podium on or off, or changes a break's line.
remove_block- Removes one block, with every question in it.
generate_quiz- Writes a quiz on a topic, or from your notes, with limequiz's AI. It counts towards your AI uses for the month.
start_session- Opens a live room and returns its code, the join link for phones, the projector link and your presenter console. Or sets the quiz as homework, with a due date, and returns its link.
get_session_resultsRead only- Reads a room's leaderboard, each block's podium and how many people chose each answer. For a homework, where each student is.
start_sign_up- Without signing in, at /api/mcp/start: emails you one link to make your free account and connect it to your assistant for 24 hours. If you already have an account, you connect it from there.
claim_sign_upRead only- Once you've pressed Allow in that email, gives your assistant the connection for the other tools.
Token scopes
Every token has all four scopes, and it only reaches your own workspace.
decks:read- See your quizzes: the list, and each quiz with its questions and answers.
decks:write- Create quizzes, write them with AI, and add, change, remove or reorder questions.
sessions:read- Read a room's results: the leaderboard and how many people chose each answer.
sessions:write- Open a live room for one of your quizzes.
For agents
The same, for machines to read: llms.txt and the MCP server card.
